CONNECTING OUR VETERANS WITH EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITIES: 2018 TEXAS VETERANS SERVICE FAIR MAKES ITS ST. PHILIP'S COLLEGE DEBUT---RAIN OR SHINE---SATURDAY OCT. 13

Rain or shine in Military City, U.S.A., veterans can learn about the bevy of benefits they've earned when the free 2018 Texas Veterans Service Fair makes its St. Philip's College debut on Saturday Oct. 13 from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the St. Philip’s College Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center at 202 Connelly St.

The number of resources at the disposal of all who attend may overwhelm and resemble the template for the mother of all future veteran service fairs, as the free veteran event features more than 30 service organizations who will work in real-time with veterans in Military City, U.S.A. to identify potential excellent opportunities, services and tax exemptions for which they are eligible. Veterans are expected to arrive through potential rain via foot, carpool, VIA bus and scooter for the unique event. Their needs will be more diverse than the expected rainy weather they brave or their modes of transportation.

Pro-veteran lawmakers and policymakers will also be present to serve the veterans, according to The Honorable Barbara Gervin-Hawkins, State Representative and members of the St. Philip’s College Good Samaritan Veterans Outreach and Transition Center who are co-hosting the event.
