In-person commencement ceremony to take place at Freeman Coliseum

St. Philip’s College will celebrate graduates during an in-person comment ceremony on May 13, 2022, in the Freeman Coliseum. The ceremony, beginning at 7:00 pm, will honor over 900 students. Face masks for the ceremonies are optional. The ceremony is open to the public.
Psychology Pre-Major, Richard Garcia, will serve as the student speaker. Richard is currently a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, president of Future United Latinos for Change, vice president of Active Minds, member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and serves as the 2021 NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar. He is also a Presidential Scholar (2021) and recipient of the Whataburger Feeding Student Success Scholarship (2022).
The invocation will be given by Leianna Bell who will be receiving an Associate of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy. Leianna is currently a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and serves as Ms. St. Philip's 2020-2021.
The Spring comment ceremony includes students graduating from St. Philip's College Early College High School. The ceremony is one of two held each year, the second ceremony is hosted in December to honor Fall graduates.
