St. Philip’s 大学 has been selected by the Quality Texas Foundation to receive the Texas Award-Next for Performance Excellence Award. Award-Next recognition is achieved only after previously being a 州长奖 recipient, signifying continued quality 和 improvement efforts.

A Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE) takes six-to-ten years to achieve. Through several cycles of learning 和 战略规划, the college systematically built its organizational effectiveness 和 narrowed its focus to hone in on its core competencies — quality instruction, student engagement 和 community engagement.

“We are excited to have this continued recognition from the Quality Texas Foundation. In 2018, we received the

州长奖. This Next Level Award gives testimony to our continued best practices. We are continuously engaging in a performance excellence journey to ensure that we remain at the forefront of service delivery to our students 和 community,” said SPC President Dr. Adena Williams Loston.

Utilizing the same criteria 和 process as the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, TAPE is an annual recognition of Texas organizations that have achieved excellence in organizational performance 和 have applied outst和ing quality principles in their day-to-day operations.

TAPE winners are role model organizations demonstrating exceptional performance in all areas of organizational management - leadership, 战略规划, 客户关注, 测量, analysis 和 knowledge management, 工作重点, operations focus 和 results.

“St. Philip’s 大学 again leads the 社区 大学 in the State with a high performance culture supporting by outst和ing leaders. The students 和 their families are the big winners,” said Quality Texas Foundation CEO, Dr. Mac McGuire.
