What is the Economics course of study?

For students seeking to deepen their knowledge of modern economies and sharpen their social science and business analytical skills.

What will I learn?

Courses are designed to provide training in thinking about firm and consumer behavior, business cycles, government regulatory, antitrust, and business cycle policy options, statistical concepts and techniques, and the historical context of economic aspects of life. Students learn to analyze choices and to think clearly about an array of issues relating to the production and distribution of goods and services.

What can I do with this course of study?

A bachelor's degree in economics is excellent preparation for a great variety of careers including business, law, high school and college teaching, journalism, public affairs, finance and banking, and work with labor unions and international businesses and organizations. Some of these careers require a Bachelor's Degree; others graduate training.

What's special about our program?

Economics builds knowledge and analytical skills useful in many different educational and career paths. The course of study also provides students with credentials in analytical skills valuable to many possible employers and educational programs.
