PAC Horticulture students place nationally

Palo Alto College's (PAC) horticulture team traveled to Fort Collins, CO, to compete in the National Collegiate Landscape Competition at Colorado State University. PAC placed 24th out of 64, only six points behind Texas A&M University. PAC placed best among community college programs in Texas, second in the state among all competitors from Texas, and seventh best among community colleges nationally. Additionally, two PAC students were recipients of the 64 national scholarships awarded to students from 28 colleges and universities.

PAC Public Relations earns gold

Palo Alto College (PAC) Public Relations earned three awards at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Paragon Awards, presented during the NCMPR National Conference held in San Antonio on March 24-26. PAC PR earned gold for the Social Media: Facebook, gold for Communications Success Story (PACfest 2018), and bronze for Social Media: Instagram. NCMPR's prestigious Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. The 2019 awards drew a total of 1,939 entries from 262 colleges across the country.
