SPC To Host Living In My Skin Panel Discussion Ft. Lionel Sosa

February 22, 2021

St. Philip’s College will host a Living in My Skin Panel Discussion on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 10:30 AM. “Living in My Skin” features over 30 oil-on-linen portraits by Lionel Sosa of Black men, ages 10 to 90, as well as a two-part film documentary that premiered on PBS station KLRN during Black History Month. The purpose of the project is to shine a light on today’s reality, what it’s like to be a Black man or boy in San Antonio and to help bring about a better understanding of each other as a community. As a sponsor, SPC has partnered with the project to continue the conversation with the San Antonio community.

The virtual event will feature panelist Lionel Sosa who was previously a featured artist during St. Philip’s College Hispanic Heritage Month observances. Lionel Sosa is an independent marketing consultant and nationally recognized portrait artist. He is the founder of Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar & Associates, which became the largest Hispanic advertising agency in the U.S. Sosa is an acknowledged expert in Hispanic consumer and voter behavior and was named “One of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America” by Time Magazine.
