WHITE HOUSE INITIATIVE ON HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (INITIATIVE) IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE 2019-2020 HBCU COMPETITIVENESS SCHOLARS NOMINATION PERIOD

The White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (Initiative) is excited to announce that the 2019-2020 HBCU Competitiveness Scholars nomination period is now open! Last year there were 63 scholars representing 54 HBCUs and this year they expect an even greater turnout!

This student recognition program is designed to honor current HBCU students for their competitiveness, i.e., successfully preparing to compete for top opportunities that improve standards of living in their communities.

The HBCU Competitiveness Scholar nomination form must be endorsed and submitted by President Loston. For more information on how to apply and eligibility, please contact Dr. Mac. All nomination forms must be sent to Dr. Mac on or before April 22, 2019. Email your nomination form to awilliams284@aplrealestate.com. St. Philip’s College will submit a packet on behalf of the selected candidate before the WHIHBCU April 30, 2019 deadline.
